Digital Archiving & Events

By Ashley Wedge

Ashley Wedge created one of the display boards on Bake McBride for our Baseball Triple L.

This is quite late but, this week, I scanned a lot of documents which had begun giving me some issues, like what is pictured, but overall was very fun looking through. I love reading old documents. I also had an enjoyable time researching Bake McBride for his display board, which included his baseball cards, and many newspaper articles. I may not know much about baseball, but it is always interesting to learn about small town people who make it big. And as a St. Louisan, I was very happy to find that connection. I am still getting used to creating display boards, as until this internship I had never done one, but I am honestly enjoying it, oddly enough.

Ashley Wedge worked on digitizing some of KCHS's fragile and very old documents.
