My first week working at the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society Research Center was very laid back and everyone there was nice. My weekly tasks so far have been digitizing newspaper clippings, sorting newspaper clippings, and doing a research project on fashion.

This week I learned how to make the digital copies of the newspaper clippings, I found it to be very enjoyable and did a lot of that this week.

These tasks help preserve Callaway history by keeping the artifacts intact longer when we're unable to keep the physical items and makes them easier for more people to access, with younger generations knowing more about technology and not being as enthusiastic about doing things with history it gives them more access to it. So far I have not helped with any events hosted by the Historical Society but I hope I can help out with some in the future.
